Gary Zukav compares consciousness to a bowl: the contents of the bowl change, but the bowl itself never changes. In other words, our consciousness is a collection of all our experiences, including that of our ancestors; and all of our experiences are from the perspective of our five senses. However, for the first time in humanity, consciousness is changing (the shape of the bowl is changing) and our experiences are beyond what our five senses tell us. We are now multisensory beings experiencing our world beyond our physical five senses.
